Levi Joseph Savage, 10, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent Mercy Hospital.
Levi was born on Nov., 20, 2010, in Elwood, Ind., the beloved son of David and Jessica (Nance) Savage.
Family was an important part of his young life. Levi enjoyed hunting for Pokeman cards with his dad, golf cart rides with PaPa Bill, playing video games with his brother and sisters, and tagging along to target practice with Papaw Todd. He loved his mom’s spaghetti, Bob Evans Mac-n-Cheese, McDonald’s cheeseburgers with “ketch-up” only, Superman ice cream from Taylor’s Dairy, and Sour Patch Kids, Starburst Minis and Airheads candy.
Levi delighted in holiday traditions and looked forward to watching Elwood parades, oohing and aahing at the July 4th fireworks, and decorating the house for Christmas with his mom. He was passionate about Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter, YouTube, reading Dog Man books, listening to music, roasting marshmallows, and going to the movie theater. Levi was a fun, loving and energetic young man with an infectious personality and a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh and his own smile and laughter could brighten anyone’s day.
Levi is survived by his parents, David and Jessica and four siblings, Alyvia, Averi, Logan, and Sawyer; grandparents, Todd Nance, Bill Savage, Kay and Eric Alexander and Shelly and Dave Loser; great-grandparents, Jim and Ruth Peel, Dan Nance and Joyce Barber; and loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Levi was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Richard and Beverly Widmeyer; Donald and Willetta Savage; and June (Nance) Cunningham; aunts, Peggy Hufnagel and Amber Nance; and cousin, Colton Mince.
A Visitation for Levi has been scheduled for Friday, July 2, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood Chapel.
