ALEXANDRIA – Scott A. Fix, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Community Hospital in Anderson.
He was born on April 16, 1964 in Anderson to Uwe and Jean (Van Horn) Fix and has resided in Alexandria and Summitville for most of his life.
Scott was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School, Class of 1982. He also attended ITT Tech.
He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1983. He was a member of the Elwood National Guard.
Scott was a foreman at Fix and Sons Manufacturing in Alexandria and had worked in the family business for more than 25 years.
Scott loved racing, was a fan of NASCAR and especially Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed racing his legend Sprint car.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Scott was a hard-working man, and his hard labor was the way he showed his love to his family, especially if he could help his father.
Survivors: parents, Uwe and Jean Fix of Alexandria; son, Will (Kristy) Fix of Daleville; daughter, Molly (Brandon) McCoy of Anderson; two much loved children, Brook Fulmer and Bailey Brown; five grandchildren, Grace Fix, Avery Jarvis, Nolan Jarvis, Thias McCoy and Branlin McCoy; fiance, Melanie Whitaker of Alexandria; two brothers, Kevin Fix and Gregg Fix, both of Alexandria; uncle, Roland Van Horn of Orestes and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Paul Van Horn, and aunt, June Schultz.
Services honoring Scott’s life and legacy will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison St., Alexandria with the Rev. Mike Whiteman officiating. Inter-ment with military honors will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
