Diana Lynne Maley, 74, of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.
Diana was born in Elwood on April 15, 1947.
She was the daughter of Richard Maley and Carol (Loser) Hofer.
Diana was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
She graduated from Wendell L. Willkie High School in 1965 and later received her associate degree in accounting. She worked in various accounting firms in St. Louis and Indiana.
She faithfully attended the First United Methodist Church in Elwood.
She enjoyed dancing and had a gift of making things look beautiful through decorating. She loved to spend time with her friends and family.
Diana is survived by her loving mother, Carol Hofer of Elwood; son, Eric James and wife Jennifer Forrest-James of Ballwin, Mo.; companion, Craig Wellnitz of Elwood; one sister, Bonnie Brown of Elwood, and several nieces and nephews.
Diana was preceded in death by her father, Richard Maley.
Diana’s wishes were to be cremated and have a celebration of life service at a later date.
