WILDWOOD, Fla. – Leroy D. Warner, 79, passed away on Friday, Aug. 14, 2020 at UF Health Hospital in The Village, Fla. following a brief illness.
He was born on July 24, 1941 in Watonga, Okla., to Albert and Vesta (Mooney) Warner.
He served in the United States Navy for four years and was honorably discharged in in 1962.
He worked as a civil service painter at Fort Sill, Okla., for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Sheree (Graham) Warner, whom he married Oct. 15, 1981; son, David (Beth) Warner of Chapel Hill, Tenn.; two grandchildren; God-daughter, Krystal Lund of Elgin, Okla.; and brother, Gene Warner of Apache, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Leona Taylor, Wilma Davis and Billy Joe Warner.
Services honoring Leroy’s life and legacy will take place on Friday, Aug. 21, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, Ind. with Pastor Kal Rissman officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
