SUMMITVILLE – David L. Miller, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020 at Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.
He was born on March 2, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio and had lived in Summitville for the past 21 years.
He had worked as a signalman for CSX Railroad. He was currently the custodian and maintenance man at Summitville First Baptist Church where he was a member.
Survivors include his wife, Lori (Ayotte) Miller, whom he married Sept. 8, 1990; mother, Patricia Miller Carr of California; brother, Greg Miller of Ohio; stepbrothers and one stepsister; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Ruth Best and his stepfather, Dick Carr.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, 700 East Mill Street, Summitville with Chaplain Don Miller and Pastor Paul Albrecht officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Friends are invited to call at the church on Thursday after noon prior to the services.
Social distancing and appropriate facial masking will be observed at the church
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Summitville First Baptist Church or the Madison County Humane Society.
