Ploughe Jim Ploughe, 71, Tipton died Wednesday morning, Sept. 1, 2010 at his farm. He was born April 6, 1939 in Tipton to Maurice V. and Velma V. (Findling) Ploughe. On Dec. 6, 1959 he married Judy Lindley. She survives. Jim was a life-long farmer. He was a member of the Normanda Christian Church, Mid-America Threshing & Antique Show and had served in the National Guard. He enjoyed woodworking and was a skilled craftsman with his tools. Jim was a great husband, loving father, grandpa and uncle. Survivors besides his wife Judy include two daughters, Jan Garrison and husband Tim of Tipton and Jill Rushton and husband Joe of Sheridan; one brother, Terry Ploughe and wife Loretta of Tipton; two sisters, Janie Dellinger and husband Jerry of Michigan and Donna Robinson and husband Terry of Tipton. Jim is also survived by six grandchildren, Tyler and Tiffany Garrison, Megan, Katie and Jessica Rushton and Alexis Plass. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Steve Brown and the Rev. Rex Dunning presiding. Burial will follow in Normanda Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Normanda Christian Church, 8019 W. Division Road, Tipton, Ind., 46072. Marjorie M. (Dickover) Raquet Marjorie M. Raquet, 91, Tipton passed away on Aug. 31, 2010 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born in Hamilton County on Aug. 16, 1919 to Ivan and Bonnie (Thompson) Dickover. On Oct. 12, 1940, She married Harold Raquet. He passed away on March 18, 1995. She had worked at Citizens National Bank in Tipton for over 30 years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of West Street Christian Church where she had participated in the Winona Circle and had been a volunteer for the Tipton Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her three children, Terry Raquet of Round Rock, Texas, Deanna Brown of Greenwood and Janet Driver of Tipton. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Denny Raquet and a brother. Calling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton. Funeral services will be at 11a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Melissa Grishaw will be officiating. Interment will follow at Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery. A. MagersINDIANAPOLIS – Agnes A. Magers, 93, Indianapolis and formerly of Elwood, passed away on Sept. 1, 2010 at the St. Augustine Health Care in Indianapolis. Agnes was born on Aug. 22, 1917 in Tipton, the daughter of John and Rose Hickner and sister to seven brothers and sisters. She lived in Elwood most of her life and devoted 56 years in marriage to John W. Magers who preceded her in death in 1997 Agnes was the mother of six children and is survived by five of her children: Thomas A. Magers married to Marti Magers of Libertyville, Ill., Mary Ellen Krivonen married to Wes Krivonen of Billings, Mont.John W. Magers married to Tanya Magers of Kokomo, Jude Magers and her friend Donna J. Watzke of Carmel, Margaret Rose Suveg married to Tony Suveg of Naperville, Ill. and a deceased son Kevin Magers who is survived by his wife, Peg Magers of Wakarusa. She is also survived by a brother, John W. Hickner, Jr. of Anderson and a sister, Helen Ellis of Anderson. Over the years she became a grandmother to 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren have followed in the lineage of the Magers family. She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Hickner; her mother, Rose E. Hickner; her husband, John W. Magers; a son, Kevin Magers; brothers, Jerome A. Hickner and Lewis E. Hickner; sisters, Alma Nash, Mary Cole and Florence Kiefer; and a daughter-in-law, Diana Ruth Magers The visitation and funeral Mass will take place at St. Augustine Home for the Aged, 2345 W. 86th St. in Indianapolis. The visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday with a Wake service to begin at 6 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday. Following the Mass will be a lunch reception at St. Augustine. Family and friends will escort Agnes Magers to her final resting place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Elwood for a prayer service and burial at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood.
