Virginia A. Hague
Virginia A. Hague, 70, Elwood, died March 7, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
She was born June 5, 1939, in Chicago. She resided in Elwood for the past 12 years and had previously resided in Alexandria and Anderson.
Virginia retired from Delco-Remy, formerly of Anderson in 1974. She enjoyed bowling and fishing. She had written poetry and in her latter years was published. She was an advocate for disabled veterans. The care and nurture of her family was very important to her, and she was especially fond of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Shonda Lou Hague, Elwood; sons, Bobby “Rob” Brooks Richards and wife, Lisa of Tipton; Billy Jack Hague of Elwood; grandchildren, Angela Richards, Brittney Richards and Robby Richards, all of Tipton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert “Shorty” Hague in 1975.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, March 12 at Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St. In Alexandria. Rev. Mark Sluka will officiate. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
Friends may call at the Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Bobbie Jean Holman
Bobbie Jean Holman, 49, Alexandria, died March 3, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 29, 1960 in Anderson to Robert E. and Linnie (Page) Holman. She lived in the Anderson and Alexandria area all of her lifetime.
She most recently worked at McDonalds in Alexandria.
She is survived by her companion, Steve Spade, Alexandria; brother, Jeff Holman, Alexandria; sister, Beth Ann Cheeseman, Muncie; half-sisters, Melissa Roberts, Anderson, Nikki Lefeber, Indianapolis; step-sisters, Rox-anne Durham, Sharpsville, Margo Schott, Alexandria; and step-brother, Randy Glad, Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration service of her life will take place at 7 p.m. Friday at Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria. Rev. Jerry Young will officiate.
Cremation will follow the services with private interment of cremains in East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria from 5:30 p.m. until the hour of services at 7 p.m.

Vieva LaVonne Irwin
Vieva LaVonne (Stanley) Irwin, 86, Summitville, died March 7, 2010 at Summit Convalescent Center following an extended illness.
She was born March 11, 1923 in Alexandria to Lora and Dora (Belzer) Hunt. She lived in Alexandria and Summitville all of her lifetime.
She retired in 1988 as a dispatcher for the Alexandria Police Department after 10 years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Harry “Walt” Irwin, Jr.; daughters, Dixie Ryan, Port Richie, Fla., Denise Lane-Denton, Alexandria, Judith Martin, Summitville; a son, James Stanley of Summitville; 58 grandchildren; 96 great-grandchildren; 43 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Eldon Hunt, Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by four sons, Bruce Stanley; Paul Stanley; Phillip Stanley and Jon Stanley; and a daughter, Merribeth Inglis.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Owens-Noffze Funeral Home, 1009 W. Walnut St., Summitville. Rev. Brian Wise will officiate.
Internment will follow at Vinson Memorial Cemetery in Summit-ville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

    Judith Rodeman
Judith “Judy” Rodeman, 69, Alexandria, died March 7, 2010 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a sudden illness.
She was born Aug. 9, 1940 to Lester and Ester (Reid) Holman. She had lived in Alexandria since 1973.
Judy worked for Alexandria Community Schools as a special education bus aid and teacher’s assistant. She was a member of the Christian Congregation Church where she served as an AWANA Leader. She enjoyed gardening and traveling, and was a fan of Kenny Chesney, Rachel Ray, the Indianapolis Colts, NASCAR racing and driver Mark Martin and FaceBook.
She is survived by daughters, Syrena Rodeman and Wendi (Scott) Ice both of Alexandria; son, Richard (Mary Ann) Rodeman of St. Peters, Mo.; grandchildren, Krystle Brown, Ashley Phillips, Heather Rodeman, Chelsea Ice, Devin Ice, Charles Rodeman, Elijah and Ethan Ice; brothers, Jack Holman, Alexandria, and Richard (Barbara) Holman, Copperhill, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 40 years, Frank W. Rodeman in 2001.
A service celebrating Judy’s life will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Christian Congregation Church, 11015 North 300 East in Alexandria. Rev. Jerry Young will officiate. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.

Jacinda L. Horton
Jacinda L. Horton, 32, Elwood, died March 7, 2010 from injuries received in an automobile accident.
She was born Oct. 30, 1977 in Anderson to William and Alice (Cook) Melvin.
She worked in retail sales.
She is survived by her parents; children, Torren Lane Fields, Emma Starr Howard and Faith Marie Howard; a brother, Jeffrey B. Fuller; and grandparents, Wesley and Mary Cook.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, at Loose Funeral Home, North Chapel; 6061 Indiana 9 South in Alexandria. Rev. Chester Smith will officiate.
Internment will be in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Linda S. Fields
Linda S. Fields, 57, Elwood, died March 2, 2010 at St. Vincent-Mercy Hospital in Elwood following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 16, 1952 in Harriman, Tenn., to Herman and Nancy (Miller) Gluff.
Shehad resided in the Fairmount, Summitville and Elwood area since 1967.
She was a beautician and was a member of the Community Cha-pel of Fairmount.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph D. Fields; a daughter, Michelle Cook of Elwood; a son, Eric Fields of Jonesboro; her mother, Nancy Gluff of Elwood; brothers, Bill Gluff of Monterey, Tenn., Homer Gluff of Byrdstown, Tenn., and Mark Gluff of Kokomo, and nine grandchildren;
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Tony Gluff; and two infant sisters, Wanda Gluff and Nadine Gluff.
Funeral services were March 6 at Owens-Noffze Funeral Home in Summitville. Internment was in Vinson Memorial Cemetery.
